What We Do

We LOVE Carter Caves State Resort Park and coordinate fundraising efforts and volunteer opportunities.  Funds are used for park projects that are not covered by the state park system. Friends members also contribute volunteer hours for events and trail maintenance.

Our non-profit, 501 (c)(3) status, also enables us to seek out and apply for grants to enhance the park.

A few examples of our volunteer activities:

• Sponsor Wildflower Weekends/Interpretive programs

• Support the Carter Caves Trail Crew

• Purchase clothing & materials for Interpretive programs

• Purchase flowers & landscaping materials

• Purchase equipment for Recreational programs

• Assist with Camper Appreciation Weekend, Winter Adventure Weekend, Pioneer Life Week, Cave-In Movies, and much more!
